About the Role
This is a new role on the Gas Services Engineering Team, focused on building LLM-powered applications that improve internal engineering processes. The position covers the full AI application lifecycle — from identifying use cases and rapid prototyping to full-stack development, cloud deployment, and long-term support.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Stack Development & Integration (40%)
- Design, build, and deploy full-stack applications integrating front-end interfaces with back-end LLM services
- Develop and manage APIs to integrate AI models into existing engineering workflows
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
- Guide external contractors on development tasks
AI Application Strategy & Prototyping (30%)
- Work with engineering stakeholders to identify opportunities for new LLM-based applications
- Translate business requirements into technical specs for AI-powered tools
- Build proof-of-concept models and rapid prototypes to validate new ideas
Application Support & Lifecycle Management (30%)
- Provide ongoing support for deployed AI applications, including troubleshooting
- Monitor performance and reliability, and drive continuous improvements
- Maintain documentation for architecture, codebases, and operations
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering preferred, not required)
- 2–5 years of AI/ML engineering experience
- Experience building and deploying applications with Python and modern AI/LLM frameworks
- Knowledge of LLMs, generative AI, NLP, and machine learning
- Familiarity with LangChain, Model Context Protocol, and agentic workflows
- Strong API development and application design skills
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure deployment
- DevOps practices
- Modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React)
