We’re looking for a C & Embedded Systems Intern to join our team and work on an upcoming hardware-software project. This is a great opportunity for students or early-career engineers who want hands-on experience building real embedded products from firmware to hardware bring-up.
About the Role
You’ll work alongside our engineering team to write and debug embedded C code, interface with sensors and microcontrollers, and help take a project from prototype to working hardware. You’ll get direct mentorship and real ownership of tasks, not just busywork.
Responsibilities
- Write and debug C code for microcontroller-based systems
- Help interface sensors, actuators, and displays using I2C, SPI, UART
- Assist with hardware bring-up, testing, and troubleshooting
- Document code and test results clearly
- Work closely with senior engineers to learn embedded development practices
- Support testing and validation of prototypes
Requirements
- Working knowledge of C programming
- Basic understanding of microcontrollers (Arduino, ESP32, STM32, or similar, coursework or personal projects count)
- Familiarity with embedded concepts: interrupts, GPIO, timers, communication protocols
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Curiosity, willingness to learn, and comfort with hands-on debugging
- Personal projects, hackathon builds, or open-source contributions in embedded systems are a strong plus
Nice to Have
- Exposure to RTOS concepts (FreeRTOS)
- Basic Python scripting for test automation
- Experience with PCB design tools (KiCad, Eagle) or 3D printing/prototyping
- Prior participation in robotics clubs, maker communities, or IoT projects
Details
- Duration: 6 months
- Stipend: Paid internship, details discussed during interview
- Mode: Hybrid
